Summer 4-Square (The Kids are All Growed Up Edition)

06/21/2009 - 1:00pm3:00pm

It happens to every parent. You wake up one day and realize that your kids don't need you anymore. And even if they needed your help, you wouldn't be able to give it. So, there's 4-Square this Sunday, the 21st, at the corner of Summer and Craigie in Somerville, from 1 to 3. And I won't be there. And you all will play anyway.

Foursquare: The Video

06/20/2009 - 11:00am12:00pm

On Saturday, June 20, at 11AM, at the playground on Summer and Craigie Streets in Somerville, MA, you can participate in the making of a four square video. This video featuring Chris Glasser's recent world championship win is intended to hit the viral video market floor on all fours and run, not crawl, to the Squarefour site, as well as UVA's Alumni Magazine, and the Boston Globe. Be there or miss your opportunity for YouTube stardom.

Can an American guy fit into this square at all?

Dear Sean,
You stated the court size is 16' square... Are you sure? I am not an American and use the International Metric System - but when I converted it into my system the size is ridiculuously small. Not sure your math skills (we hear a lot about very low American education level here) - but 16' square is 4'x4' (about 1.2m each side!!!) and then divided further into four squares... means each square is 2'x2'... - can an American guy fit into this square at all??? Don't think so. Can you please look into it again, amend it and preferrably show International Metric System sizes. Thanks and regards from Sweden. - Luke, 6/17/2009
