Now the time has come to select the 2011 season league shirt color. You have two weeks to place your votes, orders will be placed promptly after. Go vote, right now!
We'll have one of our street teams in Porter Square today, Oct 7, from 6-7PM. Porter's infamous crosswalk plaza needs a green injection - since the developers couldn't figure out how to do it, we'll add our bright green shirts to the scenery for an hour instead.
If you want a quick dose of four square before the season starts in three weeks then join us in Porter. We're making a visible presence in Cambridge and Somerville, so you will see us several more times in different neighborhoods before the big kick off on Oct 24.
I was reading the blog of a local upcycling carpentry company here in Cleveland, Ohio. "Piece of Cleveland" salvages lumber from razed buildings and creates new furniture. The former Stanard Elementary School was one. The Stanard site is now a big community garden. Some of those old bricks now grace my garden walkways. It has been rumored that our beloved game of four square was born on that playground. Could you confirm or correct that notion? -Steve 10/3/2010
